Omnia Opera + Authority Malvern Youth Centre, Malvern, WORCS WR14 2YF 8:00PM Saturday 18th November 2006. Admission £6 (£5 Ticket in advance)
Omnia Opera Acid Plasma Rock band will present themselves live on stage for the first time in over 13 years. Living in the same pond as Hawkwind/Pink Floyd and playing their own brand of adulterated sonic weirdness. “Omnia Opera” have been rehearsing in a deep secret bunker to bring you a good dose of Sonic Plasma Rock. Injected directly into your ears for your aural pleasure and digestion.
Admission is £6 on the night & £5 advance ticket (See ticket note below) The gig being held at the wonderful venue that is the “Malvern Youth Centre”. A mighty P.A. stack is being shipped in for the event. The band are hoping to include a projector lightshow which was always a trade mark of the band’s earlier live performances. So expect the visual element to be gorgeously entertaining.
Supported by ‘Authority’ - an almost unbelievable scoop for this event! ‘Authority’ are our very, very special guest band for the show and have a formidable vehicle for their delirious take on rock. Rarely seen live ‘Authority’ continue their relentless experimentation and bizarre arrangements that characterized their previous group (Monsoon Bassoon). Guitarist Karvus Torabi who also plays with the mighty ‘Cardiacs’ (unquestionably one of the best bands ever in the history of the planet earth ever.) So an aural assault of the highest caliber is expected.
Tickets…Help us fund the gig; buy a ticket up front! We need cash flow to grease the cogs. Tickets are available on request by email or Phone 01684 561068. Ask for Sarah or Andy (Ignore Homeopathic part of any message you hear).
Make cheques payable to “Andy Jones”. Send £5 per ticket + 50p postage and packing. Don’t forget to include your name and address. Cash can be sent at your own risk, just put it inside a card, this should be cool
About the venue…Malvern Youth Centre is a cracking venue, and for the first time in 10 years we are pleased to announce, in conjunction with head honcho of the MYC John White (serious ‘youthonaught’), that the venue will re-open it’s upper two rooms for the night. Thus providing the long lost separate bar and chill out areas respectively. It is hoped that in the wake of the Omnia Opera Gig this will continue to be the case for future events.
